Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
|
There have been many family pets displaced in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina. They have
been relocated to numerous shelters across the country. Please consider adopting or fostering
a refugee if you have space in your home. If you are unable to foster or adopt, please consider
donating supplies or money to help in the rescue efforts of the animals affected by Hurricane Katrina.
The following are some of the organizations assisting in the rescue efforts in the New Orleans and Gulf Coast
areas. Please click on the name of the organization to be directed to their sites to learn more about the rescue efforts or to
donate money to assist them.
Please contact shelters or rescue organizations in your area for information about pets displaced by Hurricane Katrina and what you can
do to help them. Shelters may be in need of money or donations to support the animals they have coming in. See
how you can help safe a life.
